The CSZ is located in Petrópolis, a mountain resort in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in the neighborhood of Valparaiso at 34 Gonçalves Dias Street, approximately a 10 minute drive from the Imperial Palace.  Car Access The best route is to follow signs toward the center of town, via Quitandinha. At the “Duas Pontes” crossing, turn left to enter onto Gonçalves Dias street. The CSZ will be visible above, on the right side. There is an identifying plaque that states “Ele está de volta a Petrópolis” (He is back in Petrópolis.) Bus access For those arriving at the bus station in Petrópolis, in Bingen, take the 100 line (Integração) to the station “ Transbordo do Centro Histórico”. At this station, take any of the following lines; 206 or 454. Get off at the “Duas Pontes” crossing. The Gonçalves Dias street will be a few meters from the bus stop, also to the right. The CSZ can be seen above, on the right. For those visiting the Imperial Museum Take the same lines listed above, either from the Transbordo do Centro Historico station or from the bus stop of the former courthouse (Fórum) in the Historical Center of town. |
